My Friend

"My Friend" 

If I were to write a biography of my best friend, I'd save myself the trouble. It's already been written. In fact it was written long before I was even thought of in my parent's mind. My best friend had me in mind though, even then. You see my friend is God. His biography is the Bible. It tells how He gave up Heaven, eternal life, and the companionship of Himself and His Spirit. He gave all that up because He loved me and wanted to assure my salvation. So many people buy life insurance. What they really need is life assurance. I have that. Unfortunately I let my friend down but He always forgives, cleans me up, and helps me to my feet. That's His nature.
