I had many subjects in which i excelled in college. In high school I didn't care. I just wanted to get through the day and then the year. I couldn't wait to be an adult. In college though all that changed. I was extremely motivate and it showed. When I obtained my associate degree I graduated at the top of my class. My graduation was magna cum laude with a 3.77 GPA. In high school that would have been more like my blood alcohol concentration!
The subject I excelled at the most in college was the college newspaper. I wrote all the headline articles. The editor came to class one day with a lead on a really big story. She presented it to the class. Everybody was quiet for a moment, then a student spoke up saying she should give it to me because I was, after all, the anchor. I remember how good that made me feel. I had never really though about it up to that point but I was the anchor. It wasn't a position i had fought for. I had naturally slid into it.
