What Brings Peace?
What brings peace?
Is peace merely the cessation of hostilities?
Is peace the maintenance of relationships, which are mostly professional in nature?
Is peace the proper balance between home, work and personal time?
Is peace a cup of coffee?
Is peace a big bar of chocolate?
Is peace a large amount of ME time?
Is peace joy-filled hours spent with one's best friends?
Is peace being rightly related to GOD?
Is peace freedom from having to hear the word, "God"?
Peace can mean many different things to many different people, but one thing is certain. Every human heart desires peace.
I, personally, feel more peaceful when I share a few quiet moments in a coffee shop or in a tea room sipping on a cup of "peace."
I, personally, feel more peaceful when I listen to Christmas music, without regard to the calendar and as the backdrop of my life.
I, personally, feel more peaceful when I work on a needlepoint printed project into the wee hours of the morning, while listening to soft music in the background or the recitation of an audiobook.
On the most foundational level of life I have found peace in my relationship with Jesus of Nazareth. This is not something I can prove, nor clarify to anyone, who has not experienced this for themselves. I can only say, "My experience is very real. I have no desire for any other experience."
That is the most basic reason why Christmas is my favorite time of year. Christmas celebrates the birth of HIStory's most important Person!
Having peace with Him and the kind of daily, working Peace, that only He can give is Peace in its truest form.
