GOD HAS A PLAN - December 4

Read Acts 18, verses 1-8. When Paul was opposed and suffered abuse (whether physical or verbal is unknown), he planned to leave the area and go elsewhere. But...

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God. ~Acts 18, verses 9-11

Perhaps many of "those people," "God's people" were already believers... Perhaps many of them were to become believers. God knows the end from the beginning---He is the one that set time in place. He is the one we go to, inquire of... because He is all knowing and we want to stay within His perfect plan.

If Paul was on a "mission of God," then it stands to reason that God is orchestrating that mission and would readily direct or redirect Paul in the way that he should go to perfectly carry out that mission. Same goes for us.

God is no respecter of persons. (See Acts 10:34 and Romans 2:11.)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~Jeremiah 29:11

The master of the universe, God Almighty, has a plan for your life; He is waiting for you to accept the call. Once accepted, He will not leave you there but will direct and redirect you all along the way as you stay close to Him and listen to His voice.

Oh how He loves us...
