Power in the Name of Jesus - December 1

"The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are saved." ~Proverbs 18:10

Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Did you know there is power in the name of Jesus?

"…He is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and recognized that they had been with Jesus.…" ~Acts 4:11-13

Demons tremble at the mention of His name. At the mention of His name, they must flee.

When you are in a scary place, just say His name...

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,…" ~1 John 4:1&2

A demon-spirit, a familiar-spirit does not have the ability, the power to confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh.

Just the mention of Jesus name, brings His presence, His peace into any situation. When you are at a loss as to what to do or say, mention His name.

"…Behold, you will call a nation you do not know, And a nation which knows you not will run to you, Because of the LORD your God, even the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you. Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.…" ~Isaiah 55:5-7
