Seeing Ourselves as We See Robert Burns
When I graduated from high school, my English Literature teacher wrote these words in my annual, "O wad some Power the giftie gie us to see oursels as ithers see us." These are the words of the great English poet, Robert Burns.

Last night I wrote a poem about these words as a spoof, as an homage, having a little fun with the great poet about the style called the Burns Stanza.

I hope you enjoy this. :)

The Burns Stanza calls for lines of eight syllables, but he used lines of 7, 8, 9 & 10.
