POSITIVE THING #8

My wife turned me onto the Fidget Cube  Open in new Window. project on Kickstarter a few days ago, and I just had to share because I think it's a really innovative, simple idea. For those who tend to squirm around and can't sit still, the fidget cube gives a variety of surfaces that provide sensory stimulation such as buttons to press, switches to flip, gears to rotate, and nubs to glide... all designed to give the user the same satisfaction and calmness that would otherwise come from bouncing in their seat, shaking their leg, or other potentially disruptive activities. Thanks to the Fidget Cube, you can hold something in the palm of your hand that will keep you from performing otherwise more distracting fidgeting movements.

It's a pretty cool idea and other people seem to agree... they raised nearly $6.5 million among more than 150,000 backers. *Shock*
