1920's Downton Abbey Tea
Mother and I went to a 1920's Downton Abbey Tea. I wore a lavender purple dress in the style of Mary Crawley. A long skirt and blouse and purple pumps shoes. My mother wore a white dress like Lady Cora. We got to go up on stage. I hadn't been on stage in a long time. I walked across stage and took a minute to pose and everyone clapped. Wow. Other women wore flapper dresses and hats. It was nice. I felt like I was in the 1920's or at a Downton Abbey event.

I bought Barbies that were dressed like 1920's girls. The one has a lavender dress and looks like a Flapper girl. I bought one wearing a long pink dress. The other one is wearing a nice Gibson girl lavender dress. I won a Red Hat Tote Bad with a scarf that matches.

A man bought his 1920's car that set outside and it was really neat.

I had a chance to dance the Charleston but I decided not to. I am afraid I am off balance but I loved other girls dance it. We had a few dancers tap dancing and a man sang 1920's music and 1920's music played with a bubble machine blowing out bubbles.

My mother bought a tea set that has red roses. She likes red roses.

In the Roaring 20's, women wore flapper dresses, they got the right to vote and some were driving cars.

I enjoyed my day. I don't get a chance to do this very often. It was my day to feel a part of the past.
