Day Three - the Glory
The Glory of God
There is much to say about the Glory of God…
Man is made in the very the image and Glory of God.
Sometimes we endure sickness and even death that God might be glorified; for instance, the death and resurrection of Lazarus, the brother to Mary and Martha in the New Testament.
Men give glory to God when they attribute life’s blessings to Him with praise and thanksgiving --- not considering that the good things in life were borne by their own striving and/or merits.
In fact, when a king in the New Testament accepted the praise and adoration of men and did not give glory to God, he was immediately eaten up by worms from the inside out.
When the Pharisees told Jesus to stop the people from praising Him, He answered “If they remain silent, the very stones will cry out.”
Let the whole earth be filled with His Glory.
