Backpacking Europe: Day 1
Monday, August 1, 2016

This morning my stomach churns with excitement. I've never stayed in a hostel before. I've never been to Europe. In fact, despite the desire, I've never been out of the continental United States. I've never even packed a backpack before. I tried using a backpack once by found it too cumbersome. What do I take with me to Europe? Should I take my smartphone? Will I be able to use my smartphone? I know I need to take my medication, but what else do I need to take. If I forget something, will I be able to purchase it there? I suppose I could think of a thousand other questions which can only be answered after I reach Las-Musas.

Packing My Backpack
I need to keep this list for my non-virtual trip overseas

*BackpackB* Clothes and a sweater in case I find the place a bit chilly.
*BackpackBl* Pen and paper journal with three different colors of ink pens.
*BackpackBr* Smartphone and charger. After all there isn't any use taking the phone if I don't take the charger.
*BackpackR* Identification - drivers license, passport, list of medications, medical cards, etc.
*BackpackV* Prayer book and prayer beads.
*BackpackO* Money, credit card or debit card.

Since I've never traveled to Europe before, I hope to explore everything I can. I think I would like to see some of the architecture, especially the religious buildings. I'm also looking forward to eating some of the traditional foods. I've always thought you can tell a lot about a country by seeing how people who live there worship and eat. I'm looking forward to taking some selfies of me in front of the speculator architecture. Even in America I never go any where without my smartphone, my debit card, and a prayer book.
