The Western Cross

It was said that in the west
Many years ago, the gun was the boss
But I beg to differ with them
I’d say it was the cross.

Many men fell to the gunman's hand
But more were genuinely saved
They allowed the Bible to win the land
This was the way of the old west

Now days it’s gone back to the gun
They fight from race to race
It makes life hard and takes away our fun
We need that book to return and set the record straight.
