Good News

Prompt : Good news???

         Argh!! I am attempting to write a blog about good news, and I am experiencing /enduring internet issues; connectivity conniptions . Oh, it's good news indeed when there are no interruptions. How many times must I remove a battery, and restart something??Wait, I don't really want an answer. What have I done/not done to incur the wrath of the internet-issuing Gods?

         Good news, let's see.... Locally, we, the denizens of Ontario, received/experienced/grumbled and groused through a several day period of much needed rain. Now the campfire ban is lifted...yeah! Sunny days have returned for us to bask in. The bloody awful buggers known as blackflies seem to have had their fill of our blood, and moved on. The scabs from their bites are healing nicely, too.

         So far, the employees of Canada Post have not voted to strike, and the corporation has chosen not to lock them out. The good news is they are still haggling over wage increases. This is wonderful news for advertisers who must barrage us with hundreds of unwanted flyers every week in our mail boxes .

         Toronto is no longer the only Canadian city hosting a Gay Pride parade. Now Steinbach , Manitoba has joined the Pride parade band wagon with their first ever event.

         On a personal note, my hubby and I have avoided striking any more deer this week. We have traversed the same stretch of road without further incident. Our vehicle is undergoing repairs approved by our insurance carrier. No more, "Oh deer/dear".
