Sweet the Sting

I said I'd never fall
so obviously beneath your wing,
but your fingers unrelenting,
tugged my heart into knotted string.

Your lips leave candy-covers
upon my freckles that you've named.
Now empty is my wishing jar
and your sweet tooth is to blame.
