The way truth and life

I preached and looked in the mirror of my own longing. The sermon title was where am I going?
The scripture was out of John 14:5. God spoke!
Thomas asks where Jesus is going and is offered that he is the way truth and life. No one comes to the father but by him. Earlier in John 11 he said we will die with you. Another words Jesus is someone worth dying for. In 14:5 of John, I can imagine Thomas seeing Jesus as teacher of how to get to God.
Thomas runs away after Jesus is crucified. He goes into the upper room where the disciples have seen Jesus. He is offered nail prints and side. He finally sees what we all long to see. Jesus is Lord and God, indeed the way truth and life.
Another truth going forward is that I am not leaving my family as much as looking forward to being together again. What an amazing assurance. Because of the resurrection i look forward to a second coming of myself to my family and even more so to the second coming of Christ!!!!😂
