A glimpse into the MOST important relationship in my life! |

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Give US this day OUR daily bread... Notice what stood out to me as I prayed these words this morning? Jesus did not tell His disciples to pray give ME, forgive ME, lead not ME, deliver ME. He taught them US. This morning I was also praying for a granddaughter who received a major, disheartening disappointment yesterday. I asked God to help her respond in the best possible way and then found myself asking Him to help US respond to the difficulties of life in the best possible way. There it was again: US. Health, peace, forgiveness, guidance -- is there anything we could pray for ourselves that does not apply across the board to our whole family or to the whole body of Christ? Join me in praying for US today... Lead US not into temptation. Deliver US from evil. For THINE is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory FOREVER. Amen. ~ ~ ~ JESUS is LORD! ~ ~ ~ |
