Day 15 - Trouble Ripples And Seizes
Day 15 prompt:
Prompt: A famous idiom is "I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when that happened." Describe what you could see as the fly, and give the details via a poem.

Trouble Ripples And Seizes

Whispered words cut the silence to shreds
Hate seeps among those words
Viper poison leeches out
And blood spills along the ground.
To watch them you would think nothing was amiss
But the movements and body language
Betray their casual attempts to hide
The frost that permeates their frozen hearts
The words dry up as others approach
And smiles are pasted on
All appears well
But underneath
The battle seizes
Lava rolls hot over their nerves
Inflaming their tempers
And stirring the coals of disdain
As they eye each other
With an inner malicious intent.
