The color Purple

Bright and lovely as can be
The color of flowers
The chosen color of spirituality
Purple flowers come forth from May showers

Lilacs, lavender, and tasty grapes
Flowers, fruits and butterflies
The color takes many shapes
It’s even the color of a woman’s eyes

Elizabeth Taylor had violet eyes
The color of mascot uniforms in a school
And the color of flowers as they die
It’s the color of a kingdom and a king that rules.
