247 words 31 lines Peace in our World By Lisa Noe ![]() We seek peace where there is harm. We look to our brother to pull us Forward towards something, away From destruction, hate and war. In the east we see the sun rise It sets in the west and that’s no surprise. We’ve come to expect certain things in life, But remove us please from war and famine. From the pestilence of this broken world. Together we can fix the malignancies that Haunt us and bring us down to the depths of The depraved. Where brother kills brother and Neighbors are bitter enemies. We can work hard Together to reform our great nations. Move forward Towards a better tomorrow, to leave this world Better than we found it----to give to our children and our Children’s children better than what we’ve known. As we stand at the top of the world and look down We find it is good and can be made only better by the Love we bring to one another. That we not judge one by The color of their skin, or by there religion, or nationality. We should see all humans as children of a Greater Power. We should feed the hungry, take in the homeless, teach the Young and old alike—we should act towards helping our Fellow man. Do not make war with your enemy instead Make them your friend, discuss rationally your differences And see where you can live and let live as long as human Life is not in peril. |
