A Good Friday;
It begins with sunshine,
A train ride
Pulling me
From the darkness.

Tea and cakes,
A musical,
Chess ‘til three AM.
Sloe Gin
At The Griffin Inn

Bath buns in Boxes
At Sally Lunn’s
Whilst Wine
At The Cowshed
Is served with a smile.

A table for two,
A walk in the park
Where stripy spring
Deck chairs
Line the lawns

Easter Monday;
I return to my City
At night,
In the rain,
With a heavy heart.
