Short Blog Poem February 2016
1

Weary of winter
I am tired of the cold wind
Want an early spring

2

The groundhogs agree
It's an early spring we will see
The birds sing with glee.

3

Sometimes blue Monday
hides the joy of a new week
with despair's dark clouds.

4

Wednesday morning blues
Usually sneaks up on me:
A shadow across the sun.

5

It's the sections of the landscape I can't see
that depresses me.

6

In order to grow
the human soul
need both joy and sorrow.

7

In recovery
I could not focus or write;
today I'm feeling better.

8

I am grateful for
so many blessings
I cannot list all of them.

9

Sunday writing
I have nothing planned
except to finish a short story.

10

Water, Cool Water
brings back memories
of my grandparents.

11

Beautiful Sunday
The first day of Dominion
The Feast Day of Mulk

12

Sunday awakening
at 2:30 AM to change positions
for my morning meditations
went back to sleep while I was setting up.

13

It's Friday at last
school is out for the weekend
children are playing.

14

Pleasant afternoon
Las Vegas is warming up
winter almost past.

15

Send a single rose
A beautiful scarlet rose
In a crystal vase

16

Write a poem for
the passion in your life
on Valentines Day.

17

It's Valentine's Day!
It's the day to celebrate love
And for lovers to give each other gifts.

18

The best Valentine's Day Gift
Contrary to what the Valentine's Day ads say
Has very little to do with the price of the gift.

19

I can remember
celebrating the birthdays
of Washington and Lincoln
in February.

20

On Presidents' Day
the third Monday in February
we celebrate all
United States Presidents
and remember their contributions
to history.

21

Writing through the healing process
one step at a time,
one word at a time,
one day at a tine,
take it slow
walking five minutes at a time.
22

I'm catching up
I'm finishing what I started
before going to the emergency room
