When You're Delusional Write a Book
Prompt:Cliches? Cliches, the stuff of everyday speech. There are so many of them! Hmm...re-write them! Here, in Canada, hockey is not just a sport to many citizens;it's a religion,so, I think we should say 'at the drop of a puck' or ' the puck stops here'. Winter is on the horizon, so I offer 'the early worm gets frostbite'. The humble penny is no longer in circulation, and inflation is too real,so, now it should be 'a dollar earned is a dollar taxed'. Autumn is fading into a fond memory and it inspires' as many red leaves as there are maples'. Maybe there ought to be more reworked cliches for writers. How about ' happy as a writer in conflict'? 'Her plots are bigger than her novel'. If only we could 'see the first novel as half finished'. 'When you're delusional write a book'. And finally, ' the pen doesn't fall far from the desk'.
