Chloe's new home

Chloe’s new home

One late evening, under the full moon, a lost kitten was looking for a new home to call her own.
During the evening as she walked along the dusty path she thought she saw a skeleton near the grave yard.
As she approached it she came upon a tiny little Caterpillar.

“Hi, my name is Shelby,” said the caterpillar.

“Well hi there Shelby, my name is Chloe and I’m lost and looking for a new place to call home,” Said the lost kitten.

“There is a house past the graveyard where people love cats, you could probably take up with them,” said Shelby.

“I thought I saw a skeleton near the graveyard so I’m afraid to go past there.”

“No you didn’t see a skeleton, you saw the ghost we call Shadow, he comes out every night at midnight when there is a full moon.”

“Well is that supposed to make me feel better, a Ghost!”

“He won’t hurt you, he is a friendly ghost if anything he could help you find a home for you to go to.”

“How can he do that?”

“He knows those people next to the cemetery and can get you passed their big dog, he can scare the dogs away and you can go up to the house and meow and show off and make the humans love you.”

“You make it sound so easy.”

“Listen those people take in every animal coming and going,lost puppies and kittens too. They really have a thing for animals -- you know a soft spot in their hearts.”

Chloe was introduced to Shadow the ghost and he escorted her across the graveyard and to the house where she wanted to live. There was a big black dog guarding the house and the ghost, Shadow, scared the dog away so Chloe could get up on the porch of the house where the people lived. She began meowing loudly and the humans heard her and opened the door to see what the noise was outside. The woman looked down and saw a tiny black kitten looking up to her with big sad eyes and meowing every breath. She instantly fell in love with Chloe and took her inside and fed her a bowl of milk and some food, which Chloe was very hungry and appreciated the food very much. It was an instant love affair between the human and Chloe, she now had a place to call home.
