Letter to Phoebe

Dear Phoebe,

I know that you don’t know me, but I am a supporter of you and your family, my name is Lisa Noe~kittylove I get my name because I love cats so much. I know that you are probably afraid, a hospital can be a very frightening place if you don’t understand how things work. I know because I have been in the hospital many times, I used to just about live there. Well actually for a few months I did live in a nursing home. I found it became easier if I made friends with all of the staff, the nurses were always so kind and the doctors as well. When I was in the nursing home my husband sneaked my cat in to see me, I was able to snuggle with him for a little while and that made things much easier. I loved to color, so I would have my family bring me plenty of coloring books and crayons and I would spend hours coloring.
I would make a game of it and you can too. Just pretend you are a famous artist and color beautiful pictures to give to all your visitors and to your doctors and nurses. It really is helpful, you don’t get so lonely or afraid because you are concentrating on your coloring and not your illness. Also you can make games out of your own name. Here’s How: Create as many words as you can out of the letters in your name, or write a poem in which you are the hero. There are so many things you can do like: Take a doctors medical exam glove and draw a face on the thumb and color all of the fingers different colors and you have made a beautiful little turkey. I think the most amount of fun can be had by creating stories which come to life off of the pages of your notebook. I do hope you get well soon, Jesus is watching over you and we are all pulling for you, you must be the most popular girl in the whole wide world. Here is a gift for you, I wrote this poem just for you!

Animals
Little kitty cats have soft toes
This the whole world knows

Little puppy dogs have soft ears
They are always changing gears

Little mice tails are very long
For tiny things their mighty strong

Bull frogs can leap and jump
And camels have that big ole hump
