Downton Abbey and Mr. Darcy?
Prompt: Does any of Downton Abbey's male characters make a good Darcy?

I liked Matt, Mary's husband but I don't see him as Mr. Darcy. He has his own charisma and good qualities. Bronson, the chauffeur who married into the family. He isn't rich and he is part of the Downton Abbey family but he isn't a Mr. Darcy. I feel he is right for Mary. They are close. Their children bond them. Bronson is one of the nice guys, good guys.

You have to love Mary's father. He is the Earl and head of the household. A Mr. Darcy? No. These men all have great qualities but don't look like Mr. Darcy. They have charm, some prejudices and good character traits. Downton Abbey and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice are a hundred and twenty years apart. Each of these men have their own good qualities. They are all rich {except Bronson but he married into the ton} and in a good position in life. Should we compare any man to Mr. Darcy? As a Jane Austen Fan, you can't help yourself. Any, handsome, charming man can remind us of Mr. Darcy.
