You Can Not Die

When at first you became so ill,


Why I asked you became so ill.


That wretched, horrid sickness came


You can not die





I will miss you and I will sigh,


Your life’s so fragile, in God’s hands.


My heart is so broken, I’ll miss you


You can not die





You get sicker as time goes by


Now all I want to do is cry


I love you and I always will


You can not die








For my father who died
