Eve after the bite

How invisible becomes visible.
How one bite can make turquoise eyes see,
her ears hear.
How a taliman red and juicy can open up a world.
The aquamarine gem on her finger
shines brighter now.
A glistening on her chin
reflects a universe.
Knowledge begets knowledge.
Who would Eve be reborn
if not as Shay from Shelby.
A place one drives through,
a cold flat prairie,
far from any Paradise we would seek.
Yet there,
with small delicate bites,
the world begins anew.
