Hey sweetie, this one's for you.
In a time when all we need
is me to say "I'm sorry"
just to stay alive,
I can't.
I won't claim ignorance or tolerance
to something I don't understand.
But it's not about you, you say?
When it's you that drives me crazy
and changing will right us,
I can't ask you to do the impossible
and stop you from being who you are.
I love you too much for that,
but I need my composure more than this.
Fighters and lovers no more.
