Audience: Who I Write For
Prompt: "My story was a complete success. The audience was a failure." Ashleigh Brilliant
Lyn asked who do we write for when we write. She asked if we pay attention to each word, sentence and the writing over all. Is it for our audience or do we do it for ourselves?

I want people to love and read what I write. I want to write what I like and what I feel comfortable with. I try to please myself and my audience. We don't all like the same genres and we won't all write in a genre everyone loves. I get a story idea and write and if I love it, I feel confident. If someone else doesn't like it, all I can say is I tried. I will practice and hopefully improve over time. I feel if I don't like what I wrote, how can I expect someone else to like it?
