This afternoon I am grateful that I was able to take a nap this morning while I was waiting for my sister to pick up her prescription at Walgreen's drug store. This afternoon I am grateful that Faye and I went to Macayo's to eat lunch today. Evelyn Underhill This evening I am grateful that I was able to post an entry to Poet999's Thoughts about Writing and Other Stuff This evening I am grateful that I took the time to do the surveys in my g-mail box because I was able to earn some points with three of the surveys. Gratitude and Spirituality "The dominant characteristic of an authentic spiritual life is the gratitude that flows from trust - not only for all the gifts that I receive from God, but gratitude for all the suffering. Because in that purifying experience, suffering has often been the shortest path to intimacy with God." Brennan Manning |
