Blog City – Day 274

Prompt: If you were to create a chronically unhappy character, what characteristics would you give him/her?

This ties in to the listing of character traits I have just completed. I have a character in my current novel that is ultimately an unhappy person. She is never satisfied with what she has and is jealous or envious of what others have. She feels she is entitled to those things and can not see beyond her own self to see that getting or wanting those things may not be helping the situation or anyone else involved. Though she presents herself as weak and needy she really believes she is better than others and deserves more. Because things don't always go the way she wants them she is angry and upset much of the time.

Border for my personal use.

Welcome To My Reality – Week Fifty

3. Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever had an experience?

Personally, I have never had an experience with ghost but I have had stories from my friends.

My friend's brother was babysitting my cousin. It was after my grandfather had died and my aunt (his daughter) was going through a diagnosis of colon cancer. The phone rang and Clay picked it up; the male voice on the other end of the phone asked if 'his daughter was doing okay'. When Clay said 'yes' the person said no more and the line disconnected.

My mother experienced a dream of my father (shortly after he died of cancer) telling her it was 7 o'clock, tiime o get up. She woke to find that that was the correct time.

Erie bits of connection.

4. List the five personality traits you hate the most and situations that showed them (no names but it must be people you've encountered, not just stereotypes).

Self Centeredness - where the person thinks only of themselves and what they can get out of a situation

Narcissism - thinking they are better and more wonderful than anyone else

Negativity - they are never satisfied with anything that comes their way.

Entitled - thinking they deserve something just for being and not having to work for it

Fake - a person who presents themselves as what they are not or hides their flaws in fear of being seen as vulnerable

5. Now list the five personality traits you love the most and situations that showed them (names if you want but again, no stereotypes

Caring and compassion - reaching out to help others regardless of your own standing

Kindness - looking to help others in need - regardless of how big or small the need is

Positive / Grateful - an upbeat person who always looks for the good in all things and appreciates what they have regardless of how much or how little

Tender / Loving - one who lives to serve her family and takes care of herself so that she may give them her best

Authentic - a person who is not afraid to connect with others and be honest about the real person they are, in doing so they encourage others to be themselves as well.
