Getting Old
Prompt: What does getting old mean to you?
More aches and pains. No ambition. Dying my hair red to avoid being gray. It is harder for me to work. After my bowel surgery, breathing tube incident and learning to walk again and function, well being older this incident was hard for me. As you get older, you need to take more medicines for symptoms and problems. This old mare isn't what she used to be.
We do have more money when we get older. Not millions but my husband and I aren't struggling. We do get senior discounts. I don't like getting old. I dress young. I act young. I wear head bands. I have been told I don't look my age. I use skin creams over the years. I like some rock music. Being older means that you learned a lot over the years. Wisdom does come with age. I have that. I always have memories and my life is good most of the time. I deal with getting older. We have to. God is with me.
