Grocery Shopping

Groceries? Again?


Really? Already?


Oh the agony of it all, mindless wanderings up and down the aisles


Clipping corners


Each shopper so engrossed


Running all over someone else


Yet, we do it again and again


Searching, searching -because they changed the shelves


Hoping at least one item is where it was last week


Opportunistically grabbing up the marked down meat


Pawing through the frozen foods


Picking up the ice cream treats


Intriguing covers to peruse while waiting in the checkout lane


Nothing needed any more


Glowering as I walk through the door, “It cost too much to eat anymore.”
