Theses are my thoughts and ramblings as I forge my way through this thing they call life. |
Today's blogs... Blog City β DAY 242 β Happy Halloween Let's talk about trends: In my grandmother's house she had all kinds of white milk glass decorative vases and bowls everywhere. I thought they were ugly. I am not a fan of white. What about yours? At the time, it didn't seem ugly. Like most trends, it was in fashion, and everyone was doing it -- What three popular trends that are happening now do you think will not survive.? Bonus question: When you were a kid did houses decorate for Halloween like they do now? Is this another trend or do you think it will last? Three popular trends that I don't see surviving... there are some, like the lowered pants thing, that I hope would did a quicker death... but like the pants, it seems to dragging and showing its painted, underwear laden ass. Other trends I don't see surviving.... hmmm, gets me thinking about the eighties and the big hair, padded shoulder pads and leg warmers. But current trends.... I am a little foggy on. Seriously I am going to have to check over and see what others think to get a clue. (So far nobody's posted anything...) This Nae Nae dance looks rather dumb... http://www.mrpopculture.com/2014-rewind-review#nae http://cdn.fashionisers.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/fall_winter_2014_2015_mak... This was just odd. Is this a trend or Halloween - it is Vogue http://cdni.condenast.co.uk/592x888/Shows/AW2014/New_York/R-T-W/Rodarte/Backstag... Halloween decorating remains about the same. Some people go all out, some a little, others not at all. I think it is much the same.... but we do have some nut that turned their Christmas lights on at the beginning of the week (that is too soon). I have a few Halloween decorations but they are hard to get to so I tend not to bother fighting to get them out. When I have been teaching at this time of year - I decorate the classroom with the students. We go all out. 30 Day Blogging Challenge Looks like todayβs topic is Scary Halloween movies. I do not like them. My husband is in heaven β he loves them. I find my imagination is scary enough without adding someone elseβs interpretation of scary. If I do watch a scary movie I will find it difficult to be alone, my imagination adds to the impact. I am better if my husband is home and not going to work. When he is working nights it is harder because he is not around in the dark. I like the fun of Halloween. The light-hearted play that people wearing costumes bring out; personally, I am not crazy about wearing a costume. |
