The Spamhenge Sonnet

A fleshy pinkness frames the sky;
it quivers so enticingly
with promises, invitingly,
that almost brings tears to my eye.

With colors of a lady pink
my mind drifts far from alcohol.
I feel a deep and urgent call
that touches my limbic instinct.

This ancient place of mystery
that shimmers in the morning light
entrances me until the night
leaving my hands quite blistery.

As darkness falls, the view is gone;
I’m left alone - yet still turned on.
