Theses are my thoughts and ramblings as I forge my way through this thing they call life. |
Today's blogs... Blog City – Day 229 My First Flight: You might be moved by the sheer technology of it or the travel abilities that it affords. Let's see if you can connect with the excitement and the mystery and how it has changed your view on travel. My first flight was a very small plane. When I was around ten, I think, my mother booked us a flight that would fly from Earlton, Ontario to North Bay, Ontario. In North Bay we changed to a large plane and flew to Toronto. The first plane was so small, maybe twelve seats. I had a headache from the experience. I think I enjoyed the experience but I could do without the headache due more to engine noise than the altitude. Since then, all my flights have been on larger air craft. 30 Day Blogging Challenge I am not a parent or a grandparent but like amy-Finally writing a novel. I did have grandparents. I was blessed with grandmothers who were strong and supportive. My grandfathers were wonderful as well. My parents made sure I saw my grandparents regularly. My mother's family lived on a farm not far from town. We went out every Sunday to visit and they came in to town Fridays to get groceries and do laundry and visit. I was very close to my mother's parents. My father took me to see his mother a couple times a year. She lived with my grandfather, my father's stepfather, further north in Timmins. I never got to meet my dad's dad. He died three years before I was born. |
