Morning After Promises
Morning After Promises
Dracula woke up, head in his hands,
and couldn't believe his throbbing headache.
His head felt entrapped in rusty steel bands
as though, any minute, it just might break.
He removed his dentures. He just couldn't take
the taste of the Muddled Rebuttal blood slurped by the woman who his thirst did slake
as he pretended to be a big stud.
“From now on all drinkers I will forsake.
No pun is meant; my esteem is at stake.”
