Theses are my thoughts and ramblings as I forge my way through this thing they call life. |
Today's Blogs... Blog City β Day 228 Prompt:Tell us about your favorite costume from childhood. I was not a big fan of dressing up for Halloween. I tended to muck up my face and dress in rags of such... enough to pass for a costume without having to buy or make anything... because that seemed like such a waste of money. I did have a mask one year but I hated the build up of condensation from my breath on the inside of it - it was icky and it made it had to see. Alternate Prompt: Orange is a color that people either hate or love: tell us how you feel about it. Orange is not my colour, but my mother adores it. I bought her orange Crocs for her gardening many years ago and they still hold a place in her collection. Orange to me is fall. I love the orange leaves and the pumpkins. There is a sweet gaiety to the colour that livens up this season. It is also a colour that blends itself into a sunset (or sunrise) to paint the day in all its glory. But I would not wear it. I don't think I have anything orange. I have one peach coloured t-shirt but it is not a favourite. It does not fit with my wardrobe... or more accurately, I don't want it to fit with my wardrobe. I don't believe it does anything for me. I am not a Fall pallet of colours. Orange looks good on my cousins - I have two with beautiful dark hair and a darker complexions. It sparks on them - on me it just falls flat. 30 Day Blogging Challenge Funny Friday It always seems to me whenever someone says its funny Friday I don't feel so funny. Today I feel as flat as the drab day the hangs over us. Overcast and out of sorts. Suits my mood and I so want to shake it and feel productive and contributing. Instead, I hover in the land of the blahs searching for a way to break out of this funk. Maybe a little YouTube surfing will be necessary. Oh, one funny thing I read yesterday had a character just experience a hugely humiliating klutz filled moment and when she got herself up and sorted out she said: "Sometimes," she muttered, "I'm pretty sure my guardian angel drinks." Now that had me in stitches!!!! I love reading Jill Shalvis's novels. She can certainly rock the humour and her characters have many 'I Love Lucy' moments. This was also rather funny... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aHpZKXC4q8 |
