Traffic Signs for the Home & An Attempt at a Song

Blog City – DAY 131

If you had traffic signs in your house, your office any space you spend frequent time what would they say? Would there be more than one?

I don't know about traffic signs.... there are a few I might like - Stop! Putting your dishes on the counter instead of the dishwasher. No Entry to the kitchen to avoid late night snacking. A better one would be Kitchen Closed, but that is not a traffic sign, just a sign worthy of use. There are days I don't want to cook, and their are other days I feel I have lived in there and I want out. No Entry would work for an office, but since I work on the living room couch much of the time it would not work as we have an open concept house - I usually work at the dining room table, but it is in the corner during these endless renovations.

One sign I would like, but it is not a traffic sign is - If you drop, it pick it up; If you use it, wash it - those kind of signs would be very helpful as I sometimes wonder if my husband had other people doing it for him before me or not. He has two older sisters and he is the baby. It drives me nuts when he drops something and walks off - like someone else will take care of it. Then gets bent or makes snarky comments when I don't. He does not do this all the time but it gets under my skin when he does.

CREATIVE SATURDAY: A creative writing prompt from the War Chest. Participants are encouraged to write a story or a poem. This is what the 30DBC page says. It got me wondering about the prompt. So, I thought, why not go a different route today.
Today's prompt is a song and lyrics:

I am hoping you are not expecting the video of the song as well as the lyrics because I am not that talented. Lyrics I can probably do... but what kind of song?

         Crap need a rhyme and that won't let it flow....
nope... try again.

Hopelessly devoted to you....... oh, can't use that it has already been done.

Put a tune in my head and write to that.... Memories works.... so here goes....

Standing
All alone,
I am standing.
I can not find a chair
To put my ass on.

Oh, I’m standing
Alone here
I am standing
And I think soon
I’ll fall down.

How's that... ugh..
