Being the life of the party, when you're at the party.
New term. (for me anyway)
Butt-dialling is when someone's phone accidentally rings someone else.
Here we are, staying in a family unit at a motel. Tomorrow is a wedding. My nephew.
Fresh milk for coffee / tea in the bar fridge, c/card imprint for any extra charges or new pillows if we have a pillow fight, and a couple of access cards.
Motel TV has vacuum cleaner ads on one channel, a children's show on another, muscley people hanging around gym equipment on another.
Outside I can hear people calling out room numbers, directing cars reversing in, car doors slamming, vehicle noise on the road outside the motel.
Now our daughter has the TV tuned to a soapy.
Yes, TV's are noticeable to me. We don't have one at home. Hey! Prometheus is on! Now it's not. We have a channel surfer on our hands.
The place has a pool and a restaurant. But we are going out to a barbecue with relos.
My writing thoughts for today?
Following on from yesterdays subject of thinking up stuff from nothing, creating worlds from emptiness, another blinding flash of something or other came to me today as we were travelling in the car.
Sometimes we do a lot of imagining of stuff from nothing, and it's not healthy. Socialising is one time it's best to just leave emptiness to be filled by real events, not imagined.
I'm sure we all sometimes worry about how we look, what we'll say, if so and so will be there, if we'll put our foot in our mouth, if we'll have bad breath, if if if!
Well, why not just have the story remain untold until it's told by life.
