Gerard Butler the novelist. Was it Sparta?
Who would not know of the actor famous for uttering these words;

THIS...IS....SPARTAAAAAA!

in the movie
300
?

But, did you know that Gerard Butler was once a novelist?

Well, he was in this 15 minute film released in 2001. Be warned, there is some colourful language...

Yes, the script is insane, just like a lot of us novelists.

We must be, surely?

The answer is a definite yes, because someone, SOMEONE nominated my blog, this here white area with black coloured text on it, for best blog.

While honoured to be nominated, I'm scratching my scalp (yes that is sort of gross and oversharing) and wondering if the nominee needs new glasses. *Wink*

Anyway, I now offer a word of thanks, and appreciation to them, and to every reader of "Shouts From Down Under Open in new Window.

I sure hope that something occurs to me, sometime in the future, something...anthing, to offer everyone in the next blog...or three.
Cos, I'm here to tell you that there's not much in there, not much in my cerebral plasma. In fact, it's like an empty blog page. My brain medium is just white.

White noise. White empty vacuum spaced airless soundless tasteless intangible nothingness.
It's so blank in my head that I can't remember if I slept last night.

I can't remember forgetting what I was trying to remember just now.

But, you know, there's consolation, there really is, a sort of icy spatial comfort. (I've no idea how that word fits in there, spatial, but it came into my head so I used it *Laugh*. It's a bit like the word aberration. What the heck does that mean? Another *Wink* )

The comfort is; white pages, white screens with zero words entered thereon are not empty, they are not blank! They are not nothing.

Because white is the colour of thinking.

I must add (in case anyone thought that comment was racist) that every colour is the colour of thinking, not just white. Don't beleive me? Well wait 'til next blog because there's proof. Yes, evidence; scientific evidence.

What I'm thinking right now, besides ending this blog, is thinking of thanking Jay's debut novel is out now! Author Icon for the nominee sig below. It's a cracking good one! *Smile*
