I have posted my response to MHWA Mental Health Challenge and other items to this journal. |
I have four pet rocks. Their names are (1) Rocky, (2) Lucky, (3) Darby, and (4) Wyoming. Two of the rocks are from Las Vegas and two are from Wyoming. Rocky, I picked up off the ground at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Las Vegas Baha'i Center. At present, I cannot remember when the groundbreaking ceremony occurred, but I can remember picking up the rock. I also seem to remember writing a poem about this rock, but I cannot find it. As soon as I run across it, which I will, I will post it in my port and probably in this journa. Lucky, was a gift to my mother from a friend. Lucky is smooth with yellow flowers and a pink butterfly painted on it. On the back is a quote "Bosom of my love", I think the quote is from the Baha'i scriptures and the date painted on this rock is 2003. My mother gave the rock the name Lucky a in 2009 or 2010 when she found it in one of her dresser drawers and could not remember who gave it to her or when. She said that the preson who gave it to her said the rock was lucky, so I have called it Lucky ever since. Darby and Wyoming are from Wyoming. A friend and his wife went on vacation in Wyoming and brought me back the rocks. The date on these two stones is 2005. Darby if from Mount Darby,1 Wyoming and the other one is a piece of precambrian granite2. My friend purchased both rocks somewhere around Mount Darby. Footnotes |
