Free Day: In 39 Days
The February 10, 2013 prompt for "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt ForumOpen in new Window. is
Today's a free day with no prompt. Blog on whatever your heart desires, have fun, and have a beautiful day!

In 39 days, on March 21, 2013, I will be celebrating New Year. Naw-Ruz, which means New Day, is the Baha'i New Year. It will be 170 B.E. That is the time I usually began my New Year goals. One of the goals is to post every other day to one of my off sight blogs. The only exception to this will be paid opportunities, which I sometimes get for one of the blogs. When I get a paid opportunity, I will write the copy and post it on the date I receive the opportunity.

Since I will normally be posting every other day to the offsite blogs, I have decided to (again) attempt to dedicate each day to a specific subject. After due consideration, I have decided on the follow subjects.

Free Write Sunday
Quote of the Week Monday
Haibun-Haiku Tuesday
Midweek Reflections Wednesday
Thankful Thursday
Poetry form of the Week Friday
Recyclable Saturday

Two poem I wrote this week, but have not posted in my writing.com port.

The Broken Coffee Mug

My favorite coffee mug is broken!

Is there some meaning
to this tragedy?

I tried to place the mug
on a wooden T.V. stand,
missed
and the mug dropped to the floor.

The handle shattered,
but the body
remained intact.

I carried the mug
to the garage
and carefully
put it in
the blue recyclable bin.

Mama’s Angel

Mama wanted a Christmas angel
to go on top to the tree,
we looked and looked
until found one
that Mama thought was beautiful.

An angel
dressed in white
like the snow on Mount Charleston;
Mama loved to look at the angel
even when it was not
on the top
of a Christmas tree.

Thought for the Day: "Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone." - Old Saying
