while we watch snow fall in the front yard
and ice cycles form on the window frames.

bundling up to ride through Blackwell
looking at the yard decorations
and Christmas Trees
peeking through the neighbors front windows.

of Christmases past
when Grandma made pumpkin pies
and Grandpa shoveled snow
from the path,
which lead from the backdoor
to the chicken coop
so that we could gather the eggs.
