June 8 - Play
Frolicking Children
Having lots of summer fun
Play is the main thought
I hope all of you recognize that this, of course, is a Haiku form of poetry.
This form consists of three lines, with five syllables on the first line, seven syllables on the second line, and five syllables on the last line.
When I saw the picture prompt, it reminded me of a boat ride I took while in Belize. As our boat lazily ventured down the jungle river, we saw boys uninhibited about anything around them as they enthusiastically played. So, I hope you enjoyed the tender poem about such summer fun!
