I’ve kissed a lot of frogs
April 25, 2012, Wednesday, Day 25 ~ 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is "Describe your favorite fairy tale, myth or legend from your childhood. Discuss why it’s your favorite. Has it influenced your beliefs and morals throughout your life so far?"

I enjoyed all the fairy tales from my childhood. My favorite was the one about the frog turning into a prince when the princess kissed him. Yes, I think it did have an effect on my life because I’ve kissed a lot of frogs (I’m not talking about the kind that are green, sit on lily pads, and croak at night).

After looking back over my love life, I suspect I always thought of my self as the princess and the men in my life as frogs. All I needed to turn them into my prince charming was love and kisses. It doesn’t work that way. I don’t care how nice you dress a frog up, make him look human, and put a crown on him, he’s still a frog at heart. One night, when you are least expecting it, he’s going to turn back into a frog and hop away. Usually with the female frog that is still in the lily pond.
