Dazzling

this is not a good poem

this is not a good poem
it does not rhyme and it has no flow
I have not put any metaphors in it
I have not put any semaphores in it
there are no smiles in it there are no bombs
there are no angels there are no whores in it
it is not a sonnet it is not even a couplet
it is bereft of imagery it has no feeling
and a five year old could have written it

this is not a good poem
it does not link a lightbulb to a walrus
it does not bring in money
it does not play fair it sulks in the corner
with a conical cap
it is not comical
it does not employ personification properly
wash behind its ears
or illuminate its window
it sits here bored it is not a good poem

this is not a good poem
it does not stun or startle
the police have pulled it over
and it slouches on the naughty chair
it has no message no theme
it is defiant dull and lazy
and shows neither remorse
nor punctuation
this poem is rude
and it sticks its finger up at you

this is a very bad poem
