Weather the storm ~ a poem of faith
February 22, 2012 ~ 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is WEATHER THE STORM.
Withdrawing into my soul’s sanctuary, Embraced by the warm arms of prayer, Alone or with others, I stand firm, as Thunder and lightning awaken awe, while Hailstones break car windows, tree limbs Experience the fury of a late summer storm, and Rain turns the city streets into rushing rivers.
There is no safety except in the shelter of God’s Glory, He defeats the fear attacking my mind. I am Embraced by the warm arms of prayer.
Sixty plus years has taught me one thing, There is no safety except in the shelter of God’s Glory, On the foundation of divine love I stand, as Rain turns the city streets into rushing rivers, My foundation remains firm and immovable.
Author’s note: I have used storm to represent any type of terror from that of a natural storm to war or any other human created disaster.
