I know I already post something for February 5, but I’m going to respond to this prompt also.

The serial pen writes
one word after another,
building the plot
installment by installment,
an extension
of the author’s muse
and mind.

The serial pen
once held in an author’s hand,
in the twentieth century morphed
into a computer keyboard,
but remained
an extension
of the author’s mind
and muse.

The serial pen
in the twenty-first century
continues its transformation
into...
What?
A text
a tweet
or an implant
placed directly into the author’s brain.
