JAN 31 -- Conclusion of the story
Day 31: January 31, 2012 ~ 30-day Blog Challenge serial prompt is Conclusion of the story.

The Story Ends

The courtroom was packed. Mrs. Mason, her son Arthur, and Pamela Darfur (Uncle Harry’s wife) sit at the defendant’s table. Andrea Jenson, Detective Jones, and three other witnesses sit in the seats behind the District Attorney. The assistant county coroner sat on the witness stand.

“There were traces of Arsenic, rat poison, and unknown metallic substance found in the body tissue of the deceased.”

“What did the blood tests show,” the District Attorney said.

“There was no blood left in the body. It was as if something drained the blood completely before or after Mr. Darfur died.”

“Is that what killed him,” the District Attorney asks.

“The cause of death is undetermined.”

“Did you find anything else?”

“Yes,” the Assistant Coroner frowned, “the DNA of both Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Darfur were found under the fingernails of the deceased.”

Mrs. Mason stood up and shouted, “Arthur and Pamela killed him.”
