Who are we compared to our yesteryears
I was just thinking about how we used to live and that made me think about how we used to think.  When we decide to do something, get involved in something, our minds go through certain thought process that is so different than it was in the yesteryears. I can hardly remember what it used to be like, 20 or so years ago, living in an age of innocence, which really wasn't innocent but compared to today it seems it seems like candyland.

One extreme difference from then and now is we had true identities. But the identities that we have now are not really true identities, they are fictitious representations of us as we socialize to our new "friends" from other parts of the world.  We don't think twice about becoming someone's friend online, yet, we are weary of our own neighbors. We hesitate trusting new people in "real life" because they might be "bad people".  But it was just years ago, that people were nice and weren't out to betray the trust of others, at least for the most part. What happened to us.  Are people becoming more untrustworthy or are internet relationships effecting our judgement on other people?

We know that our friends online can't hurt us. They are fictitious representations of who we want the friend to be. That is why we like them so much. So since we know they can't hurt us. We realize the only people who can are the "real life" people.  Is this why we as a country have decreased face to face communications and relationships?  Is this why we choose to stay away and communicate via electronically? Is this why we search for the negative in people first before the positive? I don't know. It is just a light hearted theory I am conjuring up.  Let me know what you think.
